He manages the investment and advisory activities of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus since June 1, 2017. He is responsible for managing a large-scale investment program - more than $ 3 billion dollars of long-term financing in Ukraine, as well as a comprehensive advisory program focused on the following priority areas: improving business conditions, expanding access to finance, promoting a green economy, modernization supply chains in agribusiness and opening up new markets.
Jason Pellmar has extensive experience in different regions of the world and in various industries.
From 2014 to 2017, Mr. Pellmar was responsible for developing a new business in the infrastructure, agribusiness, manufacturing and service sectors in Myanmar, Southeast Asia. In particular, he led the team that implemented the first investment IFC in Myanmar in the infrastructure sector. The project was structured as a convertible loan to the country's largest container terminal. Also under his leadership, an investment was made in support of the country's first electricity project, which was offered through a competitive tender.
Until 2014, Mr. Pellmar was based in Istanbul, Turkey, where he was responsible for the implementation of a series of landmark infrastructure investment projects in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. He was also responsible for developing new businesses in the electricity sector in Eastern Europe.
Prior to joining IFC, he was responsible for financing and managing the global portfolio of energy assets in the Financial Services division of General Electric (GE) in Stamford, Connecticut, USA.
